Bishop Denis Madden joined  Rev. Dr. Stepehen Ositimehin and the family of St. Veronica to welcome Mary Lakia Woodrup through Baptism into the faith and to celebrate the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. There were five who received their First Communion and four who received the Sacrament of Confirmation to make the Celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord even more special. Eventhough the Parish is traditionally African American, the majority of those receiving sacraments were Hispanic.  Confirming the universality of the Catholic Faith, the newest receipients of sacraments were welcomed warmly and celebrated by the family of St. Veronica. Receiving Baptism and First Communion and Confirmation was Mary Lakia Woodrup. Receiving Confirmaiton were: Sara Veronica Henriquez, Felicity Candy Henriquez, Francis Joana Cruz and Dymphna Esmeralda Cruz. Receiving First Communion were: Moises Cruz, Rocio Umana, Edinson Alfara, Angel Rivas, and Kaedden Brooks.
